Using HP Deskjet D1520 with the Mac

Are you changing from Windows 7 OS to Mac OS? Are you worried about arrangements for your printer? When You hook your printer up to the Mac Mini with a USB port, the Mac Mini will search for your printer software and download it in an instant. Before you know it, your printer is working. An HP Deskjet D1520 works well with the Mac Mini. This happens to be one of the printers that I am familiar with and has tried with the Mac. I was sure that it wouldn't work with the Mac Mini, but it fooled me. I thought a whole new printer was needed. It would be dumb to have to go out and buy a whole new printer when there is nothing wrong with the printer that you have. Thank goodness the HP Deskjet is compatible with the Mac Mini.

CCleaner and Mac Mini

Google Image

Using Windows Vista, I have always used CCleaner. Did you know there was a CCleaner for Mac mini? When you use the CCleaner for the Mac, it is a little different. In the uninstall section, I only see one freeware icon in the list. It is in the applications folder with other applications, but only one application shows. Maybe it is because that one particular application has been used and the rest of them has not. Using Windows Vista, the CCleaner shows your whole control panel. I do not think that the Mac Mini has a control panel.  Other than that, CCleaner cleans the Mac mini the same way it would using Windows Vista's operating system.

My Thoughts on Apple

Apple is a famous coorperation. It is big to me in it's own way. When I think about the Mac computer, I think of a company that has it's own operating system and different than any other computer company. I took a computer course in a community college. The first thing I learned was how to use the Macintosh. I had no idea that it was owned by Apple and did not know a thing about Apple. Back then, nobody was saying much about Macintosh. Everybody was talking about Microsoft. I learned about Windows later and used the Windows 95 computer in college. So I got a chance to learn about two operating systems. I'm just beginning to learn more about Apple. Apple is a company with great and mighty thoughts. I can see it through a little computer call the Mac Mini.

Mac Mini Beginner

From YouTube
Today, I tried using a Mac Mini. It was very easy to set up. If you are planning to buy one, no keyboard and mouse will come with it. If you do buy a keyboard and mouse, you will need a USB cable with your keyboard and mouse. Another thing that the Mac Mini does not come with is a monitor if you are just planning on buying the Mac Mini alone. I must warn you that the cables might be very different than what an HP computer has. To hook your Mac Mini up to a monitor, you will need an HDMI to DVI adapter which comes with the Mac Mini. Hopefully, you will have something labeled DVI somewhere in the back of your monitor. You cannot forget the power cord. It also comes with the Mac Mini. As soon as you turn it on, you will hear music and you will see the Apple Logo on your screen. All you would have to do is fill out your name and address and write some things to get signed in. When you get past all of that, you will see your desktop.
